About the role:
Responsibilities include assignment planning, layout, set up and operating and making tool adjustments for a variety of conventional or automatic machines. Works from blueprints, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions. Checks and inspects machining operations against specified tolerances. May identify and repair minor machine malfunctions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviews job packages by reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches or drawings to identify design impracticalities and begin to formulate production process.
  • Clarifies design feasibility issues with engineers to ensure parts are machined to meet specifications.
  • Determines sequence of operation, number and type of cuts required, and method of set-up.
  • Prepares parts for machining, programs computer and milling machines, and operates variety of manual and automatic machines.
  • Monitors parts through production by visual observation and referencing blueprints to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Performs preventative maintenance tasks on machines.
  • Repairs malfunctioning shop equipment and machines.

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
