StandardAero is seeking a Machinist to perform setup and manual machining on a variety of equipment. The role includes manufacturing parts to tight tolerances and inspecting with calipers, gauges, and micrometers to ensure conformance to specifications.

You will read blueprints and layouts, adjust tools, and help train other technicians as production needs require. Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or sit for half the shift, this is a hands-on role supporting a skilled team.

Formación

• 1+ years of experience with manual machining.
• 1+ years of experience operating lathes or mills and using measuring instruments (calipers, gauges, micrometers).
• Ability to sit or stand at least 50% of work shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilidades

• Machine products to tight tolerances.
• Read and interpret specification manuals, blueprints, templates and layouts to determine machining operation to be performed.
• Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges and micrometers.
• Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces.
• Adjust and set up machine tools for use by machining tool operators.
• Participate in the cross training of other technicians as needed to support production requirements.
• Work independently and as a team to achieve maximum quality.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills

• VTL (Vertical Turning Lathe) experience.
• High degree of mechanical aptitude, accuracy and precision.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals and technical drawings.
• Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
