Job summary

Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation in Orlando, FL, is seeking a Systems Installation and Maintenance Technician to install, set up, and maintain complex RMS systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Candidates should read technical drawings, work in a manufacturing environment, and be capable of installing hardware and performing quality checks; additive manufacturing experience

THE WORK
  • Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
  • Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; determines sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup; uses a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments; makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds; measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining; fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, parts, and equipment required.
  • May modify numerically controlled programs on numerically controlled (NC) machines.
  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Typically requires completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $41900.00 - $77700.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
