Job summary

Fairbanks Morse Defense is seeking an experienced Machinist to operate CNC mills and lathes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will read blueprints, set up machines, and ensure precision parts are produced to spec.

The ideal candidate has 3 years of machining experience, familiarity with G-code, and strong measuring skills. You will join a team committed to quality, safety, and ongoing process improvement in Ohio.

Qualifications

• 3 years of machining experience (CNC mills, lathes, manual machines preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Skilled in G&M code editing, reading blueprints, and interpreting X, Y, Z coordinates.
• Experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Ability to troubleshoot, adjust speeds/feeds, and perform setups independently.

Responsibilities

• Program, monitor, and adjust machines to ensure top-quality output.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to guide your work.

Summary

As an Experienced Machinist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of American Fan’s manufacturing processes by operating CNC machines, lathes, brake presses and support fabrication tasks in a fast paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently..

• Program, monitor, and adjust machines to ensure top-quality output.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to guide your work.
• Use measuring tools like calipers and micrometers to ensure precision.
• Maintain and troubleshoot machines, including minor repairs and tooling upkeep.
• Perform fabrication tasks like cutting, shaping, and assembling materials.
• Collaborate with the team on continuous improvement and problem-solving.

What We’re Looking For:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3 years of machining experience (CNC mills, lathes, manual machines preferred).

• Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
