Job summary

Parker Aerospace, a division of Parker Hannifin, is seeking an Aerospace Machinist in Kent, WA. The role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining precision CNC and manual machines to produce aircraft components.

Two shifts are available: Day shift (Mon-Thu 4:00am–2:30pm) and Weekend shift (Fri–Sun 5:00am–5:30pm). Candidates must read drawings, meet tolerances, and adhere to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Reads and understands manufacturing planning, sketches, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Familiar with geometric dimensioning and symbols; knows where to find info.
  • Understands proper setup and use of tooling.
  • Familiar with machine tools, precision instruments and good manual dexterity.
  • Performs shop mathematics related to machining.
  • Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform well defined setups and non-complex operations using CNC on Manual machines.
  • Support production or job shop machining with diverse projects.
  • Detect faulty processes and provide input for resolution.
  • Interpret and follow instructions, sketches, schedules, drawings and documents.
  • Use precision instruments to check tolerances and quality.
  • Follow established safety standards and procedures.
  • Document manufacturing planning quantities in the paperless timecard system.
  • May demonstrate basic operations to others with supervisor approval.
  • Work under direct oversight.

Machinist (Aerospace)
  • Experienced Required

Two shifts available: Day shift, working Monday through Thursday, 4:00am - 2:30pm

Weekend shift, Friday through Sunday, 5:00am - 5:30pm

An Aerospace Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining precision machining equipment to produce high-quality aircraft and aerospace components. This role involves reading technical drawings, working with tight tolerances, selecting appropriate tooling, performing inspections, and ensuring all parts meet strict quality, safety, and engineering specifications.

Functions and Responsibilities
  • Perform well defined setups and non-complex operations using CNC on Manual machines.
  • Perform projects having some diversity which may be in support of production operations or job shop machining.
  • Detect faulty processes and provide input for their resolution.
  • Interpret and follow written and verbal instructions, sketches, schedules, drawings and documents.
  • Use precision instruments to check tolerances and quality of parts.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.
  • Responsible for ensuring proper documentation is entered on manufacturing planning (including correct quantities) and paperless timecard system.
  • May be asked to demonstrate basic operations to others with supervisor approval.
  • Work under direct oversight.
Skills, Education and Required Experience
  • Reads and understands manufacturing planning, sketches, blueprints, and specifications as necessary to perform the job function.
  • Basic knowledge of geometric dimensioning and symbols. Knows where to find this information at Exotic, and asks for help when necessary.
  • Understand proper setup and use of tooling associated with machines.
  • Requires familiarity with machine tools, precision instruments and good manual dexterity.
  • Required to perform shop mathematics associated with machining.
  • May have demonstrated expertise in a particular machine type or work on one single purpose machine which may involve multiple machining processes.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED required.
Physical Requirements

Sit, stand and/or walk for 8 hours per day. Occasionally lift items that could be up to 25 pounds.

Competitive Compensation
  • Pay Range: $23.5/hr to $37.1/hr
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
