Job summary

CIRCOR International, Inc. in Warren, MA is seeking an experienced machinist to set up and operate vertical mills, read blueprints, and handle CNC controls. The role involves multi-axis machining, quality verification with precision tools, and running both CNC and manual machines.

The candidate will plan rough and finish work, perform independent setups, and be open to coaching to learn all cells. US citizenship is required for DOD work. This is a full-time on-site position in Massachusetts.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or GED; machining concentration a plus.
• Minimum of three years experience in machining.
• Able to read blueprints/geometric tolerances.
• Familiar with machinist tools and hand tools.
• Willingness to learn all machines within a cell and perform coaching when needed.
• Must be able to work shifts and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Vertical Mill.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Use CNC controls and precision measurement tools.
• Perform multi-axis machining operations.
• Conduct quality checks and use precision devices.
• Monitor machining operations and ensure accuracy.
• Plan rough and finish machining on CNC and manual machines.
• Perform setups independently and operate advanced machine tools.
• Other duties as assigned.

o Setting up and operating Vertical Mill o Interpreting blueprints and technical drawings o Using CNC controls and precision measurement tools o Performing multi-axis machining operations o Conducting quality checks o Utilizing precision measurement devices o Monitoring machine operations o Plan and perform rough and finish machining on a variety of machines both CNC and manual. o You will Perform setups independently. o Operate and understand advanced machine tools (i.e. CNC). o Perform other duties as responsibilities necessitate.

Candidate must be able to work over 8 hours in a shift Crane and hoisting experience a plus You must be able to read blueprints/geometric tolerances. Instrumentation /Gaging skills required. Must be familiar with machinist tools and hand tools (micrometers, verniers, indicators, scales, dial bore gage). Must be open to coaching and training with a willingness to learn all machines within a cell. Some physical effort (avg. 25 lbs). US Citizenship is required for DOD requirements.
