Job summary

Chromalloy Gas Turbine LLC in the United States (San Antonio, TX) is seeking a Machinist to write, edit, and operate manual and CNC equipment on a 3rd shift. This role involves routine maintenance and adherence to safety standards to ensure high-precision parts for aviation and power applications.

As a Machinist, you will set up and operate manual and CNC equipment, monitor tooling and workpieces, and contribute to on-time production with quality results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years’ experience with manual machines.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and familiarity with Microsoft packages.
• G and M code understanding.
• Preferred experience with Fanuc controllers.
• Preferred experience with O-M VTLs; Sip/K&T/Shibaura/Ikegai Mills.
• Preferred manual machining experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently set up and operate all common machine tools and equipment.
• Can machine parts using horizontal boring mills, vertical lathes, engine lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses.
• Perform simple to complex machine setups with little to no assistance.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics.
• Solid working knowledge of machine tools/parts, set up, operation and maintenance.
• Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.

SUMMARY

As a Machinist, you will write, edit, and operate manual and CNC equipment. This role also has responsibility to perform routine maintenance of equipment. Additional duties may apply as required.

Shift: 3rd shift, Sunday-Thursday 10:30p-7:00a

Shift Differential: Additional $2.50/hr

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
