Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking an experienced machinist to join our onsite team in Wisconsin. You will train others, set up and run a range of machines, and ensure parts meet exacting tolerances. You will inspect outputs, document results, and work with engineering to streamline production.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to standard procedures, and proactive maintenance of the cell, tooling, and fixtures to support efficient manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction/training to other employees to develop skills and produce production parts to specifications.
• Set up, adjust, and operate machining equipment to close tolerance parts.
• Make exacting setups and select feeds, speeds, and sequences when needed.
• Load/unload parts, cycle machines, and run production runs.
• Inspect machined products and document results.
• Identify faulty workmanship and report issues to the department lead.
• Create and generate procedures for production processes related to machining.
• Utilize Continuous Improvement tools to reduce waste and lower costs.
• Maintain the cell, machines, tooling, and fixtures in good condition.
• Collaborate with engineering/manufacturing teams to streamline processes.
• Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures and keep area clean and safe.

Job description

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide instruction/training to other employees (new employees, as well as experienced employees) to develop skills and to produce production parts to specifications.

Set-up, adjust, and operate a wide variety of machining equipment and a wide variety of parts to close tolerance.

Make exacting setups.

May select feeds, speeds, and operational sequence, calculate ratios, and proof/edit and manually program machining instructions.

Load/unload parts, cycle machine, and run designated quantity for production run.

Maintain close proximity to work area as to be ready to detect/diagnose malfunction in machine operations (such as worn or damaged tools) and to determine need for adjustment or repair.

Recognize defective or faulty workmanship, correct and report issues to department lead.

Perform inspection of machined products (including documentation of results).

Communicate with co-workers regarding production runs.

Create/generate procedures of complexity for production processes (for machining of specific parts and issues).

Test new tools and methods.

Responsible for condition of the cell, machines, tooling, and fixtures.

May work closely with other departments (engineering, manufacturing engineering) to help smooth/streamline production processes.

Utilize Continuous Improvement tools to identify, reduce, eliminate waste and lower costs.

Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures.

Keep work area and equipment clean and orderly (5s standard).

Work in a safe manner and follow all safety rules and procedures to ensure personal safety as well as safety of co-workers.

When limited/no work in area, will provide assistance to other departments based on workloads and customer needs.

Perform other duties as assigned.
