Job summary

Doncasters is seeking a Machinist in Groton, Connecticut, to machine and finish casting parts using drills, saws, grinders and vertical mills. You will read blueprints, set up machines from instructions, and ensure parts meet exact specifications.

You'll help develop setups for new jobs and refine existing processes to improve efficiency. Prior lathe or drilling machining experience and the ability to interpret technical drawings are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as lathe or drilling machinist.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and follow technical instructions.

Responsibilities

The Role:

As a Machinist, you will be responsible for machining and finishing casting parts using drills, saws, grinders, and vertical milling machines. You'll work from blueprints and work instructions to set up and operate machinery, ensuring that each part meets exact specifications.

You'll also be involved in developing setups, procedures, and techniques for new jobs and debugging existing machinery to enhance efficiency.
