Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables. Repair machine tools and parts. Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools. Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments. Apply quality control procedure. Maintain inventory of equipment. Co-ordinate activities with warehouse and production units. Program CNC machine tools. Compute dimensions, sizes, shapes and tolerances of workpieces . Measuring tools: Micrometers. Calibre. Computer and technology knowledge: Mastercam CAD/CAM. Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Equipment and machinery experience: Milling machines. Surface grinders. Tool grinders. Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines.
