Job summary

SMS group USA in Muscatine, IA is seeking a Machinist to join a culture that values safety, hands-on work, and continual improvement. You will set up and operate CNC and manual machines, read blueprints, and follow SOPs to keep production moving.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.

• Understanding basic Trigonometry functions.

Summary

The Machinist will set up and operate a variety of machines including, Mazak, Okuma, and manual lathes.

The Right Candidate Will

• Be a safety minded person who enjoys hands on work.
• Ability to set up and operate both CNC and manual machinery for use in metal working applications.
• Understand Mazatrol
• Understanding and able to edit G code as needed is a plus
• Integrated Renishaw probing
• Complete SOP travelers and document daily activities.
• Interpret assembly and blue prints drawings.
• Follow proper safety precautions.
• Must be courteous and work well with others.
• Ability to properly rig heavy machinery and equipment for use with overhead crane.
• Ability to train new or other employees to perform same job responsibilities
• Maintain an organized and clean work area.
• Drug free, safety minded and maintain an excellent attendance record

What You\'ll Need
