Job description

Machinist

As a Machinist, you will be contributing to the manufacturing of high precision components used in rupture disc assemblies. You will be ensuring accuracy, safety, and quality while working with advanced machining tools, robotics, and inspection equipment. Your craftsmanship directly supports the reliability and performance of our products.

Responsibilities
  • Determining setup requirements by reviewing blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and instructions.
  • Measuring, marking, and scribing dimensions on materials to guide machining operations.
  • Machining bar stock to required dimensions with precision.
  • Interacting with cobots and robotic tools to enhance machining efficiency.
  • Verifying conformance of finished parts using precision measuring equipment such as CMM and optical comparators.
  • Performing preventative maintenance on machining equipment as needed.
  • Complying with productivity and quality standards to meet operational goals.
  • Operating a forklift when required to support material movement.
  • Performing additional duties based on workload and business needs.
Education & Experience
  • Have a high school diploma or GED; a certificate in CIMM or related industrial technology is preferred.
  • Have 3+ years of experience in a job shop or highmix, lowvolume production environment.
Technical Skills
  • Have demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Have the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Have intermediate math and reading skills.
  • Have working knowledge of lathes, mills, and other machine shop equipment.
  • Have the ability to write and modify CNC programs.
  • Have basic computer skills.

  • Have the ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses and safety shoes.
  • Have the willingness to work overtime, alternate shifts, and weekends as needed.
