Job summary

Aeroman in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a skilled Machinist to perform sheet metal repairs and replacements of structural parts. You will fabricate replacement coverings, panels, or fairings using removed parts as samples, read instructions, and follow safety information.

You will select machines such as lathes, operate CNC machines (VF2, 3-axis), monitor processes, read blueprints and maintain tools; strong accuracy and attention to detail required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; vocational school or apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read, speak, write, and understand English.
• A&P certificate preferred; Airframe Familiarization (FAM) course certificates preferred.
• Minimum 18 months of relevant experience with narrow and wide body airframe techniques, terminology, and parts.
• Experience with ERP systems, vending (POU), and researching maintenance manuals.
• Experience operating CNC machines (VF2, 3-axis).
• Lifting and carrying hand tools, parts, and work materials; ability to work in stooping, kneeling, or squatting positions.
• Excellent manual dexterity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience using or programming manual, semi‑automated, or automated tools and machines (lathes, grinders, etc.).
• Ability to use precision tools such as calipers for accurate measurements.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Knowledge of metal properties and materials.
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items.
