Job summary

Dethmers Manufacturing Co in the United States is seeking a skilled Machinist in the Machining department. You will set up, operate, and troubleshoot typical machine shop equipment to machine raw steel and castings to print into usable parts for Demco products.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, using a full range of precision measuring tools, maintaining accurate part counts, meeting order deadlines, and coordinating with other departments.

Qualifications

• Team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Detail oriented for accuracy.
• Basic math skills for accuracy in part count.
• Knowledge of speeds and feeds rates.
• Knowledge of the trade.
• Degree in Machining or experience preferred.

• Ability to identify a problem and make adjustments accordingly

• Be self motivated to meet order deadlines
• Communicate with employees in the department as well as with employees in other departments
• Performs other duties as required

Requirements

Physical Job Demands:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally and push/pull 100 pounds occasionally
• Bending from the waist- 40% of the time
• Lifting from waist level- 5 to 50lb requirement
• Above shoulder reach- Minimal
• Pinch/grip- 100% of the time
• Twisting- Minimal
• Standing- 100% of the time
• This position requires use of heavy equipment and an overhead crane.
