Job summary

W3Global seeks an experienced machinist to operate EDM/CNC machines, ensuring parts meet blueprints and work orders. The role focuses on setup, tool selection, and process improvements while maintaining quality, safety, and documentation best practices.

Summary

The machinist is responsible for effective and efficient operation of EDM, CNC and other machines on a continuous basis including identification and resolution of issues to maintain production output requirements of the business unit.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operates EDM/CNC machines and other related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been developed.
• Makes all edits and adjustments as required to produce parts to work orders/blueprint specifications/sketches.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of feeds and speeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their application.
• Inspects work as required for all dimensional features as required.
• Produces quality and quantity of work in accordance with Company requirements.
• Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc.
• Performs duties always exercising good machining practices.
• Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, orderly condition including operator maintenance sheets.
• Trains, guides, and assists other employees as required.
• Taking a proactive approach to solving process or system related problems and coordinating with other team members/departments when necessary for resolution of problems
• Comply with OSHA, health, safety, and environment requirements.
• May be assigned to carry out tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individual's skills.

Physical Requirements

Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Visual Requirements
