Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm in Exton, Pennsylvania, is looking for a Machinist to operate lathes and milling machines. The ideal candidate should have over 3 years of experience, a high school diploma, and excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail. Responsibilities include reviewing blueprints, selecting machines, and performing maintenance. This full-time position requires Monday to Friday work from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with some overtime as needed.

Job description

Scope of Position

AllFill, Inc. is a top supplier in accessories and parts for packaging manufacturing machines. The Machinist's job is to operate machine tools, such as engine lathes and milling machines to cut and produce these precision parts for AllFill, Inc.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Review samples, blueprints, drawings, or instructions to understand specifications of output.
  • Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping.
  • Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job.
  • Select appropriate machines and position or load material for a job.
  • Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify any issues.
  • Determine and program size of batches and speed of machine.
  • Monitor output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages. Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Work Environment

This job takes place within a clean, well lit, ventilated and air-conditioned manufacturing facility. Subject to noise from machinery. Regularly exposed to hazardous situations and equipment, such as high-speed machines. Regularly exposed to loud noise from machines used. Some safety equipment must be worn when working with equipment in the shop.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Some overtime required as business needs dictate.
