Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Machinist at our south shop location in Stevens, PA. This position would be responsible for setup and operation of manual and conversational CNC equipment in order to produce custom replacement mechanical components and low run production parts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and conversational CNC mills, lathes along with other typical machine shop equipment.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, sketches and select appropriate machining processes, tooling , and fixturing to produce parts.
• Use measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure parts are made to specifications.
• Use measuring devices to reverse engineer custom mechanical components.
• Assist engineer with quoting by consulting labor, material, and process requirements.
• Monitor and maintain machine shop equipment and tooling.
• Recommend and implement new equipment processes to improve machine shop capability and efficiency.

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Technical certification or 3+ years of machine shop experience
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of machining and fabrication processes such as milling, drilling, turning, grooving, boring, threading and tapping
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

The typical hours for this position are 6:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday-Friday. Compensation for this position is dependent on qualifications and prior experience.
