Machinists at SDC are detail-oriented individuals responsible for manufacturing custom parts according to engineering specifications by operating and maintaining lathe and milling machines.

What You'll Do:

• Set-up and operate manual Knee Mills, Lathes, and Grinders.
• Manufacture custom parts to detailed engineering prints and 3D models.
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a machinist.
• Experience with low-volume manufacturing machining.
• Knowledge of machining methods, practices, tools, and equipment.
• Understanding of materials like carbon steel, tool steels, stainless steels, aluminum, and plastics.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models.
• Ability to collaborate with project teams.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
• Experience operating lift trucks and overhead cranes.
• Experience with Haas Automation equipment is a plus.
