Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 7–10 years in machining/manufacturing with leadership experience.
• Strong CNC machining, programming, tooling, fixturing knowledge.
• Experience overseeing inspection, quality systems, and measurement activities.
• Experience with vendor management, subcontract machining, and outsourcing decisions.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing software.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily machining department operations to meet production, quality, safety, and delivery goals.
• Supervise machinists, CNC programmers, setup staff, inspection personnel, and support teams.
• Set departmental goals, performance expectations, and priorities aligned with company objectives.
• Monitor workflow, machine utilization, labor efficiency, throughput, and productivity.
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, policies, and quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Support outsourcing decisions and supplier coordination as needed.
