Madsen Steel Wire Products in Orland, IN is seeking a machine operator to join our production team. No prior experience required; on-the-job training is provided. Shift is Mon-Thu, 3:30pm-2:00am with some training on 1st shift.

You will operate machines, read blueprints, perform quality checks and maintain records in a safety-focused environment. We value teamwork, reliability, and a proactive approach to learning new processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and measurements.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines, ensuring material is fed correctly and preventing jams.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust settings to optimize production efficiency.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and assist with machine maintenance as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and measurements to maintain accuracy.
• Perform in-process quality checks and ensure all products meet specifications.
• Bundle and package products for shipment with accurate labeling and documentation.
• Use measuring tools to verify product dimensions and quality.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE; keep the area clean and organized.
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals and participate in trainings.
