Job summary

G-TECH Services, Inc. is seeking a Machining Launch Tooling Engineer in Michigan for an onsite role. You will work with the headquarters launch team and suppliers to ensure the incoming machining line meets key metrics for long-term success.

You will develop tooling, lead PPAP documentation, perform process audits, and drive Lean manufacturing, safety, quality, and productivity improvements across gear machining operations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ yrs of related experience with machining tool development and launches.
  • Experience leading PPAP quality launch documentation and ISO/Lean practices.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support machining processes with tool development
  • Support implementation of tool tracking
  • Identify tool dominant features and implement control
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality and productivity
  • Complete PPAP quality launch documentation
  • Apply engineering principles to improve manufacturing processes
  • Lead process audits and maintain Powertrain guidelines
  • Create process and instruction sheets for quality methods
  • Deliver capable processes and tools for gear machining operations
  • Lead lean manufacturing initiatives and best practices
  • Ensure compliance to standards and ISO auditing
  • Support ISO 14001 compliance
