Job summary

Kingsbury, Inc. in Oshkosh, WI, is seeking a CNC Programmer for its machining operations. You will analyze drawings, create and update CNC programs, and collaborate with tooling, process engineering, and CNC machinists to optimize machine performance.

Requires a high school diploma and 3+ years of programming experience with G and M code; reading blueprints and GD&T training preferred. Proficiency with CAD/CAM software, Syteline, and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, with 3+ years of programming experience and ability to read and interpret G and M code.
• Blueprint reading and GD&T training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, sketches, design data to determine cutter paths, tool selection, and feed speeds.
• Create, maintain, and improve CNC programs and tooling setup sheets for CNC production equipment.
• Identify opportunities to reduce changeover times, improve quality, address safety, and increase productivity.
• Write tool sheet instructions with tool lists and fixturing details.
• Utilize CAD and CAM software, Syteline, and MS Office as day-to-day tools.
• Collaborate with Tooling personnel to procure tooling and with CNC machinists to optimize machine performance.
• Work with process engineering and fixture design for proper processing and fixturing.
• Maintain Kingsbury safety standards and participate in required trainings.
• Oversee quality according to Kingsbury QA standards across products and processes.
• Complete special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze drawings, sketches, design data and processing information of parts to determine configuration of cutter paths, selection of cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates.
• Create, maintain, manage, and improve CNC programs and tooling setup sheets for the CNC production equipment.
• Identify and participate in opportunities to improve processes and tools to reduce change over times, improve quality, address safety issues, and increase productivity.
• Write tool sheet instructions containing tool lists, fixturing, and setup information.
• Utilize CAD and CAM software, Syteline, and MS Office products as tools to perform day-to-day job tasks.
• Work with Tooling personnel to procure tooling.
• Work with CNC Machinists to correct errors and develop optimum machine performance.
• Work with process engineering and fixture design for proper processing and fixturing.
• Exemplify Kingsbury's safety mindset by complying with all safety requirements and acting as a safety ambassador.
• Attend all company-required trainings and meetings (e.g., safety and department meetings).
• Oversee and maintain the quality according to Kingsbury Quality Assurance standards across Kingsbury products and processes.
• Complete special projects, continuous improvement initiatives and all other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required, along with 3+ years of relevant programming experience and the ability to read and interpret G and M code. Blueprint reading and GD&T training completion is preferred.
