Job summary

LaborMax Staffing is seeking a skilled machine technician to install, inspect, and repair industrial machinery. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions, and document service logs to prevent downtime.

In this role you calibrate and set up equipment, use diagnostic tools to pinpoint issues, ensure safety with LOTO procedures, and collaborate with operators, maintenance teams, and engineers to improve reliability and performance.

• Preventative Maintenance (PM): Schedule and perform regular cleanings, lubrications, and part replacements to prolong equipment lifespan.
• Equipment Setups: Calibrate, align, and adjust machinery according to manufacturer specifications and production requirements.
• Asset Management: Track equipment condition, manage spare parts inventory, and order necessary replacements.

2. Troubleshooting and Repairs

• Diagnostics: Use computerized tools, testing devices, and diagnostic software to identify the root cause of mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical issues.
• Corrective Maintenance: Disassemble equipment, repair or replace faulty components, and reassemble machinery to restore it to peak operating condition.
• Testing: Run operational tests and performance evaluations on repaired machinery to ensure it functions safely and correctly.

3. Safety and Compliance

• Adherence to Protocols: Enforce strict workplace safety standards, including participating in Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Inspections: Regularly check safety guards, emergency stops, and warning systems on heavy equipment and production lines.

4. Documentation and Collaboration

• Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation of all repairs, calibrations, and maintenance routines, often using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Team Support: Collaborate with production operators, maintenance teams, and engineers to identify recurring problems and implement equipment modifications.
• Training: Assist in training machine operators on the proper, safe, and efficient use of the equipment.
