Job summary

InSight Manufacturing Services in Murphys, CA is seeking an experienced Machine Shop Manager to lead our CNC machining operations. You will oversee daily shop activities, drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery while mentoring machinists, programmers, and operators.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in CNC environments, strong CAM tool knowledge, GD&T expertise, and a hands-on leadership style focused on continuous improvement and teamwork to optimize production and mentor staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of CNC machining leadership.
• Strong knowledge of CNC mills, lathes, and tooling.
• Experience with CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM, Esprit, or similar programs.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications.
• Strong understanding of machining strategies, cutting parameters, and cycle-time optimization.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and production goals.
• Proactive, hands-on leadership and team development.
