Job summary

B&Z Manufacturing Company Inc is seeking a detail-oriented Machine Shop Inspector to join our San Jose, CA team. This role focuses on ensuring parts meet strict quality standards through precision measurement and thorough documentation.

You will perform first article, in-process, and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, and CMMs, interpret GD&T, and collaborate with machinists to drive continuous improvement and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of quality inspection experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.
• Experience with CMM operation is a plus.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training preferred.

• Inspect machined parts and components for dimensional accuracy using precision measuring instruments.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve production quality.

• Experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operation is a plus
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems preferred
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or vocational training preferred
• Zeiss CMM experiance a plus.
