Job summary

Woodward, Inc. in Loves Park, IL is hiring a Machine Repair Technician to join our team on 1st shift (Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm) with rotating on-call.

The role focuses on routine maintenance, diagnosing and repairing manufacturing equipment, with training provided. The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent; associates in electronics/mechanical preferred; prior machine repair experience is valued.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and execute preventative maintenance on machinery following standard operating procedures.
  • Diagnose Basic Issues: Identify and troubleshoot straightforward machine malfunctions using established guidelines and diagnostic tools.
  • Execute Repairs: Carry out necessary repairs on equipment under close supervision, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Document Maintenance Activities: Accurately record all maintenance and repair tasks in maintenance logs and reports.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Communicate technical information and work effectively with team members to ensure optimal machine performance.

  • Level 1: Estimated annual base pay: $20.67 (minimum) - $26.92 (midpoint) - $33.17 (maximum) Plus overtime

  • Level 2: Estimated annual base pay: $24.52 (minimum) - $31.73 (midpoint) - $39.42 (maximum) Plus overtime

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a Machine Repair Technician, we have an exciting opportunity for you. Woodward is hiring a skilled and motivated repair technician to join our team. This position is located at our Loves Park Campus on N. 2nd Street and will be working on 1st shift (Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm), with a rotating on-call schedule. Successful candidates typically have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred

  • Associates degree in electronics, mechanical or industrial discipline is preferred

  • Experience in a machine repair role in a manufacturing environment

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing production machine errors and malfunctions.
