Job summary

Schaller Corporation in Chesterfield, MI is seeking motivated Machine Repair Technicians for stamping facilities. Immediate openings available on all shifts. You will repair production presses, perform PMs, troubleshoot mechanical/electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic systems, and read mechanical prints.

Welding and fabrication are also part of the role. Wage is commensurate with experience. Benefits after 90 days include medical options, dental, life, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation/holidays/time

Qualifications

• Maintenance and repair of stamping presses and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical prints.
• Experience with PM routines and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs of production stamping presses and auxiliary equipment during production.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and facilities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic circuits.
• Read and interpret mechanical prints.
• Build and weld as needed.
• Operate tools including a multimeter safely.

With our ongoing growth, we are looking to have highly motivated individuals with knowledge ranging from entry level to highly experienced in machine maintenance practices and procedures for various Machine Repair positions in our stamping facilities located in Chesterfield, MI. Immediate openings are available on all shifts.

Machine Repair Job Duties Include:

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs of production stamping presses and auxiliary equipment during production.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance (PM) on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic circuits.
• Read and interpret mechanical prints.
• Building maintenance.
• Machining as required.
• Weld and fabricate as needed.
• Experience with Minster presses and Wayne Trail transfer units a plus.
• Proficient use of industrial hand and shop tools to complete tasks, especially a multimeter.
• Demonstrate good work practices to complete jobs timely, accurately, and above all, safely.
• Communicate and interact efficiently and effectively with all levels of employees within the company and vendors.
• Must be able to obtain a Powered Industrial License (hi-lo) to perform job duties.
