Job summary

Reser’s Fine Foods in Pasco, WA is seeking a Machine Operator 1 to join our production team. This role sets up, maintains, and operates basic food processing machines that produce intermediate food products.

You will load materials, adjust settings, monitor quality, and ensure conformance to company guidelines. The position requires attention to detail, safety, and reliability; overtime may be required. Non-exempt hourly role with benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Able to work with attention to detail and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operates basic machines to combine raw and processed ingredients into intermediate food products.
• Sets up machines for Production runs, including loading materials and adjusting settings.
• Observes machine operation to ensure quality and conformity to company guidelines.
• Inspects parts to specifications and makes adjustments or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications.
• Cleans and sanitizes machines according to company guidelines and machine specs.
• Ensures product date, weight, and temperatures are within established guidelines.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work area.
• Displays positive attitude toward people, equipment, and company policy.
• Adheres to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Follows company safety guidelines, HACCP requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Regular, reliable attendance and punctuality is required.

Education And Experience

• Experience operating machinery is preferred.
• Food industry experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English and be understood.
• English/Spanish bilingual a plus.
• Able to work with attention to detail and safety standards
• Willingness to learn and improve
• Team player required to work closely and collaborate with others

Physical Demands And Working Conditions

• Refrigerated food manufacturing plant.
• The environment may be wet or dry and temperatures may range from 25°F to 110°F.
• Repetitively lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
• Requires walking and standing for long periods of time.
• Production demands may require overtime and/or evening or weekend scheduling.
