Job summary

ContractStaffingRecruiters.com in Middletown, CT is seeking a hands-on machinist/maintenance helper to clean and calibrate inspection instruments, organize the workbench, and prepare jobs as machines run.

You will read drawings and G-code, handle tools, inspect materials, and coordinate handoffs between shifts while maintaining a clean, safe work center.

Qualifications

• Ability to read drawings, blueprints and CNC screens.
• Familiarity with raw materials and their machining properties.
• Lift heavy material
• Twist and bend.
• Swing a wrench, screwdriver and other various hand tools.
• Read G-code.
• Differentiate a broad assortment of cutting tools.
• Use a broad assortment of inspection instruments.

• Maintain vigilance for unusual and unexpected sounds from machinery. Report instances to the Foreman.
