Job description

General Summary:

Operates as a fully participating and effective team member of a production line within the scope of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Monitors the performance and workflow of the production line in areas such as safety, housekeeping, productivity, quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Operates at least one major piece of equipment on the packaging lines.
2. Conducts minor preventive maintenance (lubrication, cleaning, inspections, and adjustments).
3. Assists Mechanics/Line Technicians with performing planned maintenance.
4. Performs daily safety checks, quality checks, checklists, and housekeeping tasks.
5. Clears equipment jams.
6. Ensures compliance with recycling processes for empty component boxes.
7. Uses computer interface panels to operate equipment.
8. Maintains equipment and performs washouts and sanitizations.
9. Adheres to SOPs and GMPs.
10. Wears appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and follows all safety procedures as per the Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
11. Reports safety hazards, quality, and production issues immediately to supervision.
12. Participates in all job-related safety training.
13. Complies with all Church & Dwight Co., Inc. policies and NJ laws.

Non-Essential Responsibilities:

1. Performs other duties as assigned.
2. Trains other operators as required.
