Job summary

HyPro Inc. is seeking a hands-on CNC machinist to start and monitor lathe/turning machines, ensuring specifications are met. The role requires reading blueprints and using gauges to verify parts, while lifting and securing components for machining.

You will inspect parts with micrometers and calipers, study tooling instructions, and perform quality checks in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with CNC equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude required for reading gauges and equipment.
  • Ability to operate and monitor multiple machines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with plant tools and equipment is a plus.
  • Must be dependable and capable of handling physical workload.

  • Study blueprints, layouts, or charts and job orders for specs, tooling, material needs and sequences.
  • Lift metal stock or parts manually or with hoists and secure them in machines.
  • Operate various CNC machines, loading and unloading equipment and materials.
  • Perform critical quality checks using various gauging methods.

Job description

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Start lathe or turning machines and observe operations to ensure that specifications are met.

Inspect sample workpieces to verify conformance with specifications, using instruments such as gauges, micrometers, and calipers.

Study blueprints, layouts or charts, and job orders for information on specifications and tooling instructions, and to determine material requirements and operational sequences.

Lift metal stock or workpieces manually or using hoists, and position and secure them in machines, using fasteners and hand tools.

Operate various CNC Machines. Load and unload equipment and materials.

Performs critical quality checks using various types of gauging.
