Job summary

TURBOCAM is seeking a proactive candidate to set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines for prototyping and production of machined parts. Starting pay is $21/hour with a 15% shift differential on 2nd shift, reflecting commitment to flexible scheduling.

In this role you will run lathes, mills, and balance machines, perform diagnostics, and ensure quality per the work instructions. Strong math, communication, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Experience running CNC machines (lathe, mill and balance) helpful.
  • Basic understanding of MS Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel desired.
  • Knowledge of measuring equipment helpful.
  • Good math skills.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate assigned lathe, mill and/or balance machines.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on machines as needed.
  • Report deviations in machine performance to supervisor or maintenance.
  • Advise on tools and tooling needed to complete turning projects.
  • Maintain fixtures and set-ups for use in projects.
  • Keep work areas clean and safe; check hoppers, filters, belts, etc.
  • Coordinate with others for usage of shared shop equipment.
  • Inspect and document operations per Quality Manual and product specs.
  • Familiarize with robotic safety and basic operations.
  • Report hazards or incidents to supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Where you will be responsible for setting up, utilizing, and operating assigned lathe, mill, and/or balance CNC machines and supporting machine procedures for the prototyping and production of machined parts. Starting pay is $21/hour and we offer a 15% shift differential when working on 2nd shift!

Come Build with Us:
  • Perform set-up and operation of assigned lathe, mill and/or balance machine/s.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on the lathe, mill and/or balance machines as needed and required.
  • Report all deviations in proper machine performance to direct supervisor, other shop supervisor, and/or Machine Maintenance personnel (when warranted).
  • Advise and consult with direct supervisor, and/or shop supervisor as applicable, for tools and tooling needed to complete turning projects.
  • Maintain fixtures and set-ups for use in specified projects as assigned when applicable.
  • Support and maintain overall shop efficiency by keeping work areas clean and safe. Check hoppers, filters, bags and machines daily; wiping down outside, washing down inside, cleaning conveyor belts and other areas as needed.
  • Cooperate and coordinate with other personnel for usage of shared shop equipment.
  • Inspect and document all operations per TAPS procedures as stated in the Quality Manual as well as per specifications of the product engineer, project manager, and direct supervisor.
  • Obtain familiarity with robotic safety and basic operations.
  • Report all hazards or incidents to direct supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
Bring Your Expertise:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Experience running CNC machines (lathe, mill and balance) helpful.
  • Basic understanding of MS Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel desired.

  • Good interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
  • Requires occasional lifting and carrying of 25 lbs. or more and standing for extended periods of time.
