Lockheed Martin in New York is seeking a skilled machinist to operate light-duty bench- or floor-type machines, set up CNC mills, and perform routine maintenance. You will check work with gauges and fixtures to ensure close tolerances and assist with quality control according to procedures.

Standard Job Description

Operates light-duty bench- or floor-type machine tools and equipment such as small lathes, power mills, extruding machines, drills or punch presses, power brakes, shears or saws. May set up machining machines and make adjustments, and perform maintenance on machines. Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances. Some machines may be numerically controlled. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Basic Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings.
• Knowledge in CNC mill setup
• Be able to inspect using general hand tools.
• Quality driven individual able to support team environment.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $35600.00 - $66000.00
