Job summary

Bosch USA in Lincolnton, NC is seeking a Laser Operation Startup Technician to join a new production line. You will support startup, learn processes, and help develop local work instructions, with extended overseas travel for training.

You will coordinate with Planning, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality, train new operators, operate and maintain multiple machines, meet daily targets, and provide feedback to improve processes.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience with laser/robotics processes (or similar).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Ability to read and follow instructions, read product prints and match to specs.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload, operate, adjust, change-over, and maintain multiple laser machines.
• Train and monitor new production associates; provide timely feedback.
• Meet daily targets and troubleshoot to resolve deviations; perform 5S and ensure machine cleanliness.

Job Description

• Support the startup and Implementation of the laser operation of a new production line in the existing Lincolnton, NC facility.
• During startup, learn first hand the process and to support to develop the local work instructions and standards. This Position will require extended Overseas Travel for training.
• Actively communicate with the related departments (Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, etc.).
• Train and monitor new production associates working on the specified shift and provide timely and effective feedback when required.
• Will be responsible to load/unload, operate, adjust, change-over, maintain multiple machines, conduct 5S and aid in trouble-shooting. Responsible to reach the daily targets and elevate in case of deviations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, Technical or Vocation Schooling a plus.
• 3 to 5 years previous experience in laser/robotics Processes (or similar)
• Computer Skills including Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Excellent communication skills - spoken, written, interpersonal
• Ability to learn and understand new processes, machines and technology.
• Flexibility to work in different shifts, overtime
• Ability to stand and be mobile for 8 hours
• Proper hand dexterity
• Ability to read and follow instructionsAbility to read and prepare orders
• Ability to lift (up to) 40 lbs.
• Math skills appropriate to a machining environment.
• Able to read product prints and check product to match.
• Proficient in the use of measuring devices.
• Setup machine using basic hand tools and measuring devices.
• Identify and assess common problems with machine, trouble-shooting.
• Read and follow standard operating procedures
• Understand and follow procedures pertaining to machine cleanliness and tool organization.
