Olympic Steel is seeking a Press Brake Operator to set up and operate a power-press brake to bend, form, or straighten material as specified by work orders and customer requirements, while ensuring quality, quantity, and timely delivery in a safe manner.

Responsibilities include crane operation awareness, precise measurement of machined features with various instruments, and meticulous inspection for conformance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years press brake operating experience (preferred)
• Knowledge of crane operation and lifting devices
• Ability to measure machined features with various instruments
• Detail oriented; inspect material for quality conformance

Job Description:

The Machine Operator satisfies customer requirements of quality, quantity, and delivery in a safe manner while maximizing productivity. The Press Brake Operator sets up and/or operates power-press brake machine to bend, form, or straighten material as specified by work order and customer requirements.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of machine operating experience on press brake preferred but not required
• General knowledge of crane operation and ancillary lifting devices.
• Skilled at measuring machined features using a variety of measuring instruments
• Detail oriented with ability to inspect material for quality conformance through the use of measuring devices and drawings.
