Machine Operator NKY - 1st Shift - O'Neal Manufacturing Services

Position Summary

As a Machine Operator, you will load and unload material into the robotic welder for steel fabrication, operate the welder, and ensure quality compliance by measuring and inspecting welded parts.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure workplace safety.
• Perform basic machine maintenance.
• Update inventory and record jobs in the ERP system.
• Weld parts according to print using robotic welder.
• Grind and clean parts to meet quality standards.
• Inspect and measure welded parts to ensure specifications are met.
• Complete required paperwork accurately.
• Maintain a clean machine and work area.
• Deliver error-free work to internal and external customers.
• Work under direct supervision.
• Support safety and quality programs by following all rules and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Shift Details

1st Shift, Monday to Thursday 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM; Fridays as needed. Overtime opportunities available.

Skills and Qualifications

• Basic problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to use hand tools (hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, etc.).
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read blueprints and tape measures.
• Knowledge of standard practices and procedures.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Prolonged standing, bending, twisting, and stooping.
• Visual acuity including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.
• Manual dexterity for precise manipulation.
• Exposure to shop environment hazards, dust, noise, and chemicals.
