BlueScope Buildings is seeking a meticulous Machine Operator to operate and maintain machines that shape materials into high-quality components. The role involves setting up equipment, loading materials, and ensuring output meets specifications.

The shift runs Sunday PM-Friday AM 10:00pm-6:00am with a $2/hour differential; pay is $22.93/hour. Training and growth opportunities, robust benefits, and a collaborative team environment await.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate machinery to cut, punch, bend, weld, or shape materials.

Responsibilities

• Operate and shape: Use machines to cut, punch, bend, weld, or shape materials into specified components.
• Prepare and set up: Set up machines and confirm specifications using drawings, blueprints, or tablets.
• Lift and position materials using cranes and forklifts.
• Ensure quality through inspections before, during, and after production.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and corrective action initiatives.
• Maintain and organize: track material inventory, perform machine maintenance, and support 5-S housekeeping standards.
