Job summary

Marmon Utility is hiring a Machine Operator to set up, operate, and monitor wire drawing, wire stranding, and extrusion equipment in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role maintains production, quality, and safety standards while minimizing downtime and waste.

3- or 4-day workweeks are available in Milford, NH with full‑time pay and built‑in overtime; health and retirement benefits apply from day one. Training provided; prior experience in related roles is welcomed but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; paid on‑the‑job training available.
• Candidates with machine operator or production operator experience encouraged.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections to ensure product quality and safety.
• Operate production equipment according to procedures and work instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Safely handle reels, spools, hand tools, and measuring equipment.

Shift Pay & Schedule

• Crew 1 - Days: $28.17/hour minimum | $70,304 minimum annual earnings Monday-Thursday | 7:00am - 7:00pm Listed rate includes 8 hours of guaranteed weekly overtime
• Crew 2 - Nights: $32.50/hour minimum | $81,120 minimum annual earnings Monday – Thursday | 7:00pm-7:00am Listed rate includes 8 hours of guaranteed overtime each week & shift differential
• Weekend Day Crew: $37.56/hour minimum | $70,304 minimum annual earnings Friday - Sunday | 7:00am - 7:00pm Work only 36 hours per week and earn full-time pay
• Weekend Night Crew: $39.56/hour minimum | $74,048 minimum annual earnings Friday - Sunday | 7:00pm-7:00am Work only 36 hours per week and earn full-time pay Listed rate includes shift differential

Position Summary

Marmon Utility is hiring a Machine Operator to set up, operate, and monitor wire drawing, wire stranding, and extrusion equipment in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining production, quality, and safety standards while minimizing downtime and waste.

Qualifications

• No prior machine operation experience required - we provide paid on‑the‑job training for all new employees.
• Candidates with experience as a Machine Operator, Extrusion Operator, Production Operator, Manufacturing Operator, or Equipment Operator are encouraged to apply (higher pay dependent on experience).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
• Basic math skills required
• High School Diploma or GED

Job Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections to ensure product quality and workplace safety
• Operate production equipment according to established procedures and work instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Ability to safely handle reels, spools, hand tools, and measuring equipment

Safety & Physical Requirements

• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
• Work safely around manufacturing equipment and moving machinery
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Education: High school or equivalent (Required)
