Base pay range

$17.06/hr - $17.06/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking a Packaging Machine Operator to join our supply chain team at our Kar’s Nuts Products facility in Madison Heights, Michigan. This role supports our mission of nourishing people and nature through the production of Sanders products.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7am - 3pm, with potential overtime on weekdays or weekends. Starting pay is $17.06 per hour.

Responsibilities

1. Monitor and operate various packaging machines efficiently.
2. Ensure correct code dates, weights, and proper packaging of products.
3. Perform preventative maintenance tasks.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues.
5. Maintain cleanliness of packaging machines and work environment.
6. Assist with setup and changeovers of machines.
7. Collaborate with team leads and supervisors to meet performance targets.
8. Follow GMP, QFS, and OSHA safety policies.
9. Maintain a safe and clean work area.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Minimum 18 years old.
2. High school diploma or GED.
3. Proficient in English.
4. Positive attitude and self-directed.
5. At least 1 year of machine operation experience in a high-speed environment.
6. Ability to work well with others and attention to detail.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

Physical Requirements

• Stand for 8-10 hours.
• Walk up and down stairs.
• Lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
• Work in slightly elevated temperatures.
• Wear PPE as provided.

Work Environment

• Work near moving mechanical parts in a high-noise indoor food manufacturing setting.
