Second Nature Brands LLC is seeking a Packaging Machine Operator to join the Sanders Chocolate Factory team in Clinton Township, MI. The role supports high-speed packaging lines, ensuring correct codes, weights, and proper packaging while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The position offers full-time hours, weekend overtime as needed, and a comprehensive benefits package. Starting pay is $17.50 per hour, with opportunities for growth as the company expands.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• English proficient.
• Must have a positive attitude.
• At least 1 year of machine operator experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Self-directed; able to work with peers and supervisors; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently monitor and run various packaging machines.
• Ensure accurate code dates, weights, and proper packaging.
• Perform assigned preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot packaging machine problems and fix issues.
• Clean packaging machines and maintain a clean work area.
• Assist with setup and changeovers of packaging machines.

• Follow GMP, QFS, and OSHA safety policies.
• Maintain safe work environment.

Job description

We are on a mission to grow Second Nature Brands to $1+B in the next 2 years through a combination of organic growth (increased distribution, e-commerce, and innovation) and through M&A. We have an opening for a Packaging Machine Operator position, who will be an important member of the supply chain team during this growth. This position will be based out of our Sanders Chocolate Factory 23770 Hall Road in Clinton Township, MI 48036

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include

• Efficiently monitor and run various packaging machines
• Ensure accurate code dates, weights, and that products are put into appropriate packaging
• Perform assigned preventative maintenance
• Troubleshoot & correct packaging machine problems
• Clean packaging machines and maintain a clean work environment.
• Assist with setting up and changing over of packaging machines
• Work with team lead and supervisor to hit performance targets
• Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), Q&FS (Quality & Food Safety), and OSHA Safety policies
• Maintain clean and safe work area
• Preform other related duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Standing for 8-10 hours;
• Walking up and down stairs;
• Lifting up to 50 lbs frequently;
• Working in slightly elevated temperatures;
• Wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by company.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, you will regularly work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be high and employee may be required to wear personal protective equipment. This is an indoor food manufacturing setting.

Regular working hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00am -3:30pm, with weekday or weekend overtime as needed. The starting rate $17.50 per.

Monday-Friday 7a-330p weekends as needed.
