Blommer Chocolate Company is seeking a Machine Operator - Molding for the 3rd shift (Sun-Thu, 10:30p-7a) at our U.S. plant.

The role focuses on operating molding lines for 10-pound bars, ensuring consistent product quality and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities include monitoring temperatures, reporting issues, maintaining clean work areas, rotating across production areas, and collaborating with team members.

Responsibilities

• Monitor machinery that pours tempered chocolate into molds to form 10-pound bars.
• Control temperatures through production phases to meet specs.
• Report and communicate issues with the production team promptly.
• Notify Supervisor of any defective materials or damaged tools.
• Keep the work area and equipment clean and orderly.
• Document HACCP results and related procedures; report non-conformities.
• Rotate to other production areas as needed for resources.
• Collaborate with co-workers on the plant floor throughout production.
• Handle additional tasks during downtime while keeping areas clean.
• Uphold Blommer core values of respect and care for others.

Available Shifts :

• 3rd shift Sunday-Thursday 10:30pm-7:00am $21.50 + $1.00 shift differential per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor machinery that pours tempered chocolate into molds to form 10-pound bars
• Monitor and control required temperatures in the different phases of production until the product reaches suitable properties according to specifications
• Identify, report and communicate operational issues with the production team in a timely manner
• Report any defective materials, missing or damaged tools, or questionable conditions to Supervisor
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
• Ensure critical control point compliance documenting US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) results, magnet cleaning, downtime, waste generation; report any non-conformities
• Rotate into other production areas and perform additional duties where resources may be needed
• Collaborate with co-workers on the plant floor throughout production cycle
• Pick up other tasks that may be needed during downtime (maintaining clean work areas, etc.)
• Operate within the Blommer core values of respect and care for others

Physical Requirements:

• Able to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for prolonged periods of time
• Able to set up, adjust and operate machinery
• Regularly required to bend, stoop, and reach
• Able to observe and detect issues
• Occasionally ascend/descend stairs
• Occasionally move materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis
• Constantly operate within a manufacturing product environment - daily exposure to noise, dust and variation in temperature (hot/cold)
