Job summary

Timken is seeking a Machine Operator for a union environment on a 3rd shift (Sun–Wed, 8:30 pm–6:40 am). The base hourly rate starts at $29.96, with an additional $1.64 shift differential where applicable.

The role involves manufacturing high‑performance bearings, maintaining quality, and ensuring safe operation. Overtime may be required; opportunities exist for progression within Timken's global manufacturing network.

Qualifications

• Capable of setting up machines and equipment.
• Operate safely in a manufacturing environment.
• Ensure consistent part quality and product flow.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping in the workspace.
• Able to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Mechanically inclined; able to perform manual machine setup/breakdown.
• Attention to detail.
• Experience in manufacturing preferred.
• High School Diploma required.

Job Description

• Manufacturing of high performance bearings
• Position is in a union environment
• Currently hiring for 3rd shift Sunday - Wednesday 8:30pm - 6:40am. Shift starts Sunday night and ends Thursday morning.
• When there is a business need for it, overtime is required
• Base Salary for position startsas Entry Level at$29.96 (2nd and 3rd shift differential is an additional $1.64).

Required Experience

• Capable of setting up machines and equipment within the department
• Able to operate standards in Safety
• Responsible for consistent part quality and ability to interact positively with team members to obtain that quality & product flow
• Housekeeping to 5s standards
• Able to lift up to 35 pounds
• Mechanically inclined; Ability to be able to perform manual machine setup/breakdown
• Attention to Detail
• Ability to be able to use tools such as micrometers, veneers, calipers etc.
• Experience in manufacturing is preferred
• High School Diploma is Required
• Salary Range: The hourly compenstation for this role is $29.96 (plus shift differential when applicable for an additional $1.64). Progressions are available based on the business need and skillset.
