Olympic Steel in Chambersburg, PA is seeking a CNC Machine Operator (HAAS) to run CNC machining centers and ensure parts meet quality and delivery standards. You will handle program edits, tool setup, and machine configuration for HAAS/Doosan/Flex/Vtech centers with probing and network capability.

Daily duties include deburring, packaging finished parts, and moving products with forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks after proper training.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC milling experience in heavy manufacturing.
• Ability to edit programs and adjust fixture & cutter offsets; tool offsets, RPM & feed rates.
• Understanding of optimizing CNC programs; HAAS Classic / Fanuc / Flex controls.
• 2-year technical degree in machining or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machining centers to meet quality and delivery targets.

Job Details

The CNC Machine Operator (HAAS) is an operations team member with the primary goal of satisfying customer requirements of quality and delivery by operating CNC machining centers in a safe and efficient manner. The duties include operating CNC machining centers that meet industry standards for program edits, tool setup, and machine configuration. Secondary duties include deburring and packaging finished parts and moving products to appropriate locations using equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks (company forklift training provided). The role uses newer HAAS/Doosan/Flex/Vtech machining centers with integrated probing and network communications. Parts range from small (<1/4lb) to large (2000lbs).

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating CNC machining (milling) centers working with large parts in a heavy manufacturing environment and a 2-year technical degree in machining.
• Ability to edit programs and adjust fixture & cutter comp; tool offsets, RPM & feed rates, and change program details such as X-Y-Z locations.
• Overall understanding of optimizing CNC programs as needed.
• Intermediate knowledge of HAAS Classic / Fanuc / Flex controls.
