Qualifications

• One year pet food and/or food manufacturing experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to complete the conversion process and package finished product prior to shipping.
• Conduct problem solving and troubleshooting as necessary.
• Load packaged material, clear jams, reset faults, perform change-overs, quality checks, report issues, and maintain GMPs.
• Complete basic preventative maintenance work as assigned (CIL’s).
• Ensure quality and food safety procedural conformance.
• Wear required PPE and report safety hazards immediately.
• Communicate accurate information using computer technology.
• Work self-directed with a positive attitude; be reliable and punctual.
• Conduct sanitation activities as required.
• Perform and manage inventory throughout production.
• Provide informal leadership to temporary associates during production.

Job Title: Operator 2

Mar Petcare is looking for a Operator 2 to join our exciting Nutro business at one of our manufacturing plants located in Kansas City, Mo.

Operator 2 is a system expert in their assigned area and is highly functional in multiple areas. Operator 2’s must always work safely. They will ensure efficiency, operational conformance, product quality and drive continuous improvement. Operator 2’s are responsible for the efficient production of quality products in the required quantities. They need to be familiar with the manufacturing change-over process. Operator 2’s must be flexible and have the ability to operate other equipment in the facility as needed. This job requires strong communication, Interpersonal, and team-building skills to support site objectives. Punctuality is a must.

Responsibilities

Key Technical Knowledge and Functional Skills:

• Food Quality (Product and Process)
• Q&FS testing practices and procedures, and QMP polices.

Requirements and Preferred Experience:

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements

• Sufficient mobility, strength, flexibility, hearing and sight to access all job relevant areas and perform routine activities as necessary to deliver required results.
• Some pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, and lifting (up to 40 lbs.) necessary.
