Job summary

Swagelok is hiring a Level II Machine Operator in Ohio. You will join a safety‑minded manufacturing team producing fluid‑system components in a clean, temperature‑controlled environment. You’ll learn on the job, use precision gauges, and contribute to high‑quality output.

The role requires basic math, a high school diploma or GED, and a willingness to work overtime as needed. Training and career development are provided from day one.

Pay & Total Rewards

The pay range for this position is $18.40-$25.80 per hour, along with additional compensation through overtime. The starting pay offered is based on your skills, experience, and additional qualifications needed for the role.

Position Summary

As a Level II Machine Operator, you'll be part of our manufacturing team, producing fluid‑system components that meet the highest quality standards. This role is ideal for an entry‑level machinist who is eager to learn, can work independently, maintain high quality production standards, and recognize when additional support is needed while maintaining a strong focus on safety. You’ll be provided all the tools and gauges necessary to be successful in your role.

You’ll have the opportunity to learn every day, continuously expanding your technical knowledge gaining experience working on a variety of machines producing various parts in a clean, modern, temperature‑controlled manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

Your day will include a variety of responsibilities that keep production running safely and efficiently, including:

• Follow Swagelok’s production system such as participating in a daily shift start‑up meeting with your team. You’ll give or receive a shift handoff report that sets the incoming or outgoing shifts up for success.
• Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment according to standard work instructions.
• Follow standard work instructions and quality plans according to specs.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, ring gauges, dial indicators, smart gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Monitor machine outputs. Identify quality, machining, tooling, and process issues and elevate to support associates to resume production.
• Complete preventative maintenance and routine machine care.
• Document production activities accurately and maintain manufacturing records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety procedures.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A willingness to work overtime hours as needed

Physical Requirements

This position requires working in a manufacturing environment and may include:

• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and stooping.
• Lifting materials weighing 25–35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Working safely around manufacturing equipment.
• Passing required vision acuity testing, where applicable.
