Machine Operator - IR Pack 1st Shift (Finance)

This role is responsible for operating various types of machinery, as needed, and as described by assigned leadership.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Operate assigned equipment according to the production schedule and product specifications, including disassembly for sanitation at the end of each shift.
  2. Monitor equipment operation, troubleshoot basic malfunctions, and notify supervision or maintenance of significant issues.
  3. Record, enter, and adjust data as needed.
  4. Calibrate systems for time, temperature, and equipment positioning.
  5. Record and interpret temperature data related to the process.
  6. Use, read, and record measurements from devices and parameters.
  7. Conduct daily equipment monitoring and take corrective actions as necessary.
  8. Collaborate with maintenance staff to establish preventative maintenance and best practices.
  9. Report unusual or out-of-spec operations to management.
  10. Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with policies.
  11. Take ownership of equipment and machinery.
  12. Follow organizational policies on safety, good manufacturing practices, and employment rules.
  13. Understand and practice safety procedures through education, training, and proper use of protective equipment.
  14. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Experience & Skills
  1. 0-1 years of related experience preferred.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  3. Ability to analyze data and make recommendations.
  4. Ability to follow verbal instructions and written specifications.
  5. Understanding of measurement units and their applications.
Education

High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required.

Work Environment
  1. Manufacturing plant environment with noise, temperature extremes, and movement of equipment and personnel.
  2. Typical of a food manufacturing facility.
  3. No domestic travel required.
  4. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks involving bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and standing for over 4 hours.
