Job summary

The Villages is seeking a dependable Inserter to assist Machine Operators in the newspaper production process, including machine set-up and operation, delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.

This full-time onsite position requires availability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays, with responsibilities spanning equipment setup, packaging preparation, documentation, maintenance, and mentoring new staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 3 months of related experience.
• Previous experience as an Inserter or similar role requiring mechanical abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to operate power industrial equipment and/or pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment, operate, and perform maintenance on machinery.
• Position products appropriately for packaging processes.
• Complete and insert verification documentation to track production runs.
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Assist in training new staff members.
• All other duties as assigned.
