Job summary

Clopay Corporation, North America’s largest residential and commercial garage door manufacturer, has openings for a Machine Operator II at our Troy, Ohio location. The starting pay is $21.30 per hour plus $1.00 shift differential, with wage increases to $27.11 after 24 months.

2nd shift - 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM; 3rd shift - 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday or Sunday through Thursday. Responsibilities include operating and calibrating machinery, ensuring quality, setting up slabs,

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years production experience preferred or experience running machinery.
• Ability to read and write a limited number of words and to recognize similarities/differences between words and numbers.
• Ability to count and perform simple math operations for weight, temperature, and quantity.
• Must be able to perform lockout/tagout.

Responsibilities

• Operate and calibrate machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure quality standards by completing KQI’s for both units and the wet system.
• Set up slabs as appropriate.
• Ensure inventory is adequate and inform supervisor of shortages.
• Keep area and equipment clean, maintained, and organized in a safe manner.
• Adhere to all safety training, policies, and procedures.
• Work safely and report unsafe conditions.
