Job description

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Machine Operator II (3rd Shift) – Presses at our Reno, NV facility. The hourly rate for this position is $22.73 plus a $1 shift differential per hour.

Core Hours: 5:45AM – 2:15PM (overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times).

What you’ll do

• Understand and proficiently operate assigned machines/presses.
• Troubleshoot various machinery problems.
• Identify and tag tubs according to shop orders.
• Perform quality control and document all parts run on machines.
• Retrieve and enter data into SAP.
• Inventory components and supplies as needed to ensure efficient and timely production.
• Maintain a clean work area and tend to other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of six (6) months of experience with forming or bending machines.
• Minimum of six (6) months of experience reading drawings or blueprints.
• Experience confirming that parts conform to specs using measuring tools.

Position Success Criteria

• Ability to operate machinery and presses safely.
• Ability to read, accurately interpret, and produce parts from blueprints and shop drawings.
• Ability to identify different gauges and types of raw material.
• Ability to accurately read tape measure, scales, and calipers.
• Ability to work effectively and productively as a member of a team with minimal supervision.
