Job summary

Maker's Pride in Terre Haute, IN is seeking a production scaler to accurately weigh ingredients for dough mixtures on assigned shifts. You will maintain a clean workspace and follow GMP guidelines while meeting daily production targets.

Monday through Friday + Overtime/Weekends

• 1st Shift: 6:00AM to 2:30PM
• 2nd Shift: 2:00PM to 10:30PM
• 3rd Shift: 10:00PM to 6:30AM

Job Summary

Correctly scale/weigh the proper ingredients for the specified dough mixture that is scheduled for the shift or shifts. Maintain clean work area.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

This position will require the incumbent to check schedule to determine the ingredients and the amounts needed to be scaled. Prepare scales for the weighting process. Select specified ingredients for dough mixture. Accurately weigh each ingredient for dough mixture. Sift lumpy ingredients per specified formulas and instructions. Place ingredients in designated bags. Record shift, ingredients, initials on bag. Record all lot numbers on bags. Place ingredients on carts. Communicate changes, instructions, etc. to the next shift scaler.

This position requires that all Good Manufacturing Practices (G.M.P.’s) are followed at all times must be familiar with GMP requirements and the employee handbook. Any foreign materials found in product or ingredients need to be reported to a supervisor immediately.

Required Competencies & Knowledge

• May crawl under equipment to reach work area.
• Perform general housekeeping, including sweeping, mopping, etc.
• May climb steps to and from work and break areas.
• Good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity for repetitive tasks.

Skill In
